The Watch: Casio G-Shock x Maharishi Mudmaster GWG-1000MH-1AER
Limited to just 1000 pieces worldwide, and only available through WatchNation due to our elite Casio stockist status, this Casio G-Shock x Maharishi Mudmaster (GWG-1000MH-1AER) is the fourth and latest collaboration between Casio and the iconic military-inspired streetwear brand. Founded in 1994 by military collector Hardy Blechman, maharishi is known for its bold camouflage prints, becoming a cult label during the 90s before making a highly successful comeback in 2015. Testament to this vision is the DPM: British Bonsai Forest print that adorns the strap and bezel, while the striking orange hands and indexes are further evidence of the brand’s design input. Casio fulfils its side of the partnership by providing, for the first time, the stunning Mudmaster as the base for a collaboration piece. A superb example of the G-Shock family’s ruthless pursuit of the toughest timekeeping available, the Mudmaster ensures that this timepiece’s undoubted style is underpinned by considerable watchmaking substance. Extremely rare and as a result hugely in demand, the chance to own this Casio G-Shock x Maharishi Mudmaster should not be passed up.

The Family: G-Shock
At a time when watches were seen as fragile, delicate instruments, Casio’s head of watch design, Kikuo Ibe, set out in 1981 to create “a watch that doesn’t break, even when dropped.” After 200 prototypes and two years of development, the Casio G-Shock was launched in 1983. Gaining its now legendary toughness from Ibe’s revolutionary decision to suspend the module inside a hollow rubber structure, the G-Shock has been the go-to name in superbly durable and precise wristwear ever since.
The Brand: Casio
Casio was established in 1946 by Japanese engineer Tadao Kashio. The company entered the timepiece market in 1974 with the release of the Casiotron, the world’s first Auto Calendar watch. Only eleven years after entering this field, Casio completely reshaped global thought about the function a watch should perform with the release of the pioneering and now legendary G-Shock family. Innovation and world firsts have defined the company’s history ever since, the most striking of these being the release of the first ever touch screen watch in 1991, 24 years before the Apple Watch, and the first ever wrist camera watch in 2000. In short, Casio was producing smartwatches decades before the term had even been coined. Add to this the hipster popularity of the company’s retro designs, and Casio has firmly cemented its reputation as a famously reliable and precise name in both analogue and digital watches.

Free Strap Adjustment
It's important that your watch fits your wrist comfortably and looks great at the same time.
Leather strap watches tend to fit without a problem for most wearers. However, watches fitted with metal bracelets often need adjusting to get the perfect fit.
This is generally a very simple procedure. We can do this for you, or you can get the watch adjusted locally.
Option 1. Specify your wrist measurement and we will adjust it before being sent
When purchasing a watch which has a metal bracelet with adjustable links, we will gladly adjust the watch bracelet to fit your wrist before sending the watch to you - free of charge!
Simply type your wrist measurement (in inches or centimetres) into the bracelet size section of the checkout and we will ensure the watch bracelet is adjusted accordingly before being sent to you. We will include all the surplus links, with the watch.
How to measure your wrist
You can measure your wrist with a piece of string which you can measure against a ruler:
You should allow about half a centimetre (1/4 inch) of slack to prevent it being too tight on your wrist.
In the event of you needing an extra-long wrist bracelet, which requires an extension to the original watch, we must obtain extra links from the manufacturer, and in this event, we will contact you to inform you of any possible delays or applicable charges.
Watches with bracelets adjusted by WatchNation are still eligible under our refund policy.
Option 2. Buy the watch online from WatchNation and have it adjusted locally
If you wish, you can have it adjusted locally by another jeweller or key cutter. However, you will have to cover the cost of this option yourself.
