The Case:

Perfectly smooth, polished, powerful and a feast for the eyes, the streamlined Briston Clubmaster Classic 15240.SA.T9.NBB was undoubtedly inspired by the race cars of the 1930s. Look no further than the cambered square design of the case that imitates the the sensual curves of the race cars of the 1930’s. This case is embellished by the tortoise style acetate design, that encapsulates the classic and charming appeal of the ‘preppy’ style that Briston envisions. Not only is the cellulose acetate alluring, it is also a natural, anti-allergic substance.

The deployment of 2.3mm thick domed mineral glass also bestows this timepiece with an authentic vintage-feeling look, which supplements the watch’s timeless demeanour. The Dial:

The metallic sun-ray blue design of the dial takes centre stage. It bears a resemblance to the circular grill on the front of a 1930s race car. The white numerals, indices and date window are sunken into the dial, due to the two-tiered dial design, this gives the dial a profound appearance. The addition of a rhodium plated sword style hand set has been utilised to maintain long term brightness and shine, as it is a superior decorative finish to gold or silver. This exemplifies the peerless levels of craftsmanship and consideration that have gone into this watch. The handset also features a Superluminova insert, which allows for nocturnal legibility. And lastly, the Briston logo sits neatly beneath the 12 o’clock mark.

The Strap:

A blue nylon NATO style complements the metallic blue design of the dial. It is interchangeable which gives the wearer some autonomy on how they want to style the watch. The strap comes finished with silver tone details for the metal buckles, which accompanies the dashes of silver present throughout the dial and case. The strap comes in at a standard width of 20mm with a maximum length of 24.5cm.

The Functions:

Miyota OS21 quartz movement powers this timepiece. It is a Japanese made movement, which is used in Citizen watches. It offers an accuracy of +/-20 seconds/month and it has a duration of approximately five years which is well above the industry standard. And finally, this model has a water resistance of 100 metres, making it suitable for swimming and snorkelling.
