Born in 1958 in Pennsylvania, Keith Haring began drawing from an early age. His move to New York in 1978 sparked a creative flood and soon his iconic style began to appear in subways, nightclubs and galleries across the city. 

Deeply conscious of social issues including drug addiction, the HIV/AIDs epidemic and children’s literacy, the real strength of Haring’s art lay in its striking simplicity and the speed with which it was created.

Since his death in 1990, Haring’s legacy has been one of charity, tolerance and above all spreading a message of love.
